Teaching philosophy
I strongly believe that children learn best by excersicing. My teaching philosophy is based on the school of thought of constructivism. I consider that when my students use their prior knowledge to construct their own idea they are automatically engaging in a positive learning environment. I have to admit that while I was going through my practice teaching experience I realized that in order to engage my students in a constructivist environment, behaivorism and cognitive learning have to take place. My students need structure, they need to feel the joy of been rewarded in order for them to feel motivated toward the acquisition of the second language. I consider that a teacher can create a positive learning environment if they are able to incorporate the best characteristics of each school of thought for the benefit of our students.
